Why a Yorkie?
Yorkshire Terriers, otherwise known as Yorkies, are a small toy breed that can be anywhere from 4-15 lbs. The majority of Yorkies are around 5-8 lbs, but some are bigger. They are known to be intelligent, bold, independent, and confident. They are excellent apartment dogs, and can make great watch dogs, but they are a small somewhat fragile dog, and need to be well taken care of.
They shed very little to none at all, and need to be groomed regularly. They are typically black and tan, but can have silver, blue and tan mixed in as well, and as they grow, the colors will change somewhat. They can have long flowing hair if they're properly groomed.
